About Susan

I'm Susan Ireland, an executive leadership coach and consultant. I chose this work because I know being a leader at any level is hard. Leaders have an enormous responsibility to the people they lead, the company they represent, and the customers, communities, and environment they operate in, and many of them are carrying that responsibility without much support. Having an experienced, objective person on your side to help you work through those demands makes a real difference, and being that person for other leaders is how I choose to serve.

I spent more than 30 years at Boeing, including the years when Alan Mulally was leading the 777 program and later Boeing Commercial Airplanes. During that time and in the years that followed, I had the opportunity to learn about and implement leadership and management systems across a variety of programs and projects, drawing on the principles and practices of "Working Together"™. Those experiences continue to influence how I work with leaders and teams today.

I understand the challenges of getting people aligned, making decisions when the answers aren’t obvious, and turning plans into results.
